Mission Briefing
Immerse yourself in a transformative 10-day motorcycle and Jeep expedition tracing the historical landscapes of Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh City to Đà Nẵng. Designed around memory, discovery, and reconciliation, The We Were Soldiers Trail takes you beyond the highway into the heart of the Central Highlands, honoring the past while engaging with living communities in peace.
Your journey begins with memory at the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City. From there, ride through the underground logistics of the Củ Chi tunnels and ascend into the red-earth coffee plantations of the highlands. The emotional core of the expedition focuses on the Pleiku Campaign and the Ia Drang Valley—exploring the complex 1965 history through guided field interpretation that honors all sides of the conflict.
As you traverse the western mountain corridors along the modern Ho Chi Minh Road through Kon Tum and Khâm Đức, you will experience scenic pass crossings, local fellowship, and community service opportunities guided by local leadership. The expedition concludes with a descent to the central coast at Đà Nẵng for debriefing and celebration.
